The Hunting Camp - Photographer Daniela Müller-Brunke followed her family on a hunting trip. Her elder brothers based in South Africa go hunting for meat in Namibia once a year with family and friends. In her quest to better understand her siblings' need to hunt, Daniela decided to shoot a documentary film about the trip. Hunting for food and co-existence with wildlife has been a part of her family's life on a farm in Namibia for generations. Joining his sons on the trip every year is famous Namibian game warden Peter Stark. Now depending on a wheelchair this was going to be his last trip. These still portraits of her extended family and friends were taken during the hunting trip. Daniela is currently looking for funding to finish the documentary film. Photographer Daniela Müller-Brunke was born in Namibia and raised in South Africa. She is based in Berlin and London and not a hunter herself.

Glen E. Friedman is one of the most significant photographers of his generation. With his images of the early Dogtown skateboarders in the late 1970s along with the burgeoning hip-hop and punk rock scenes of the 80s and 90s Friedman has been able to capture the moments that defined an era. His subjects range from Jay Adams and Tony Alva to Run DMC, Public Enemy and the Beastie Boys to Minor Threat and Black Flag. Friedman has cemented his place in history as an uncompromising, extremely gifted artist.

"Dure à Cuir" puns on the french expression "dur à cuire" meaning "tough cookie". L'Officiel creative director Giorgio Martinoli and fashion editor Vanessa Bellugeon wanted a leather story for the November NOIR issue. Swiss expat photographer and my dear friend René Habermacher was happy to work again with one of his favorite girls. Tel Aviv model Kasia brought great energy to the shoot. Everybody was thrilled with the results and Kasia in Dior was chosen for cover, provoking a personal call from Mr. Galliano himself... Bravo!
